Projects / Training / Workshop 

1. Implementation of Secured Hybrid Routing Protocol

Role: Developer (Mentor: Prof. V.S.S.Sriram)

Duration: October 2010 - April 2011
Features:
(i) Presence of unidirectional links.
(ii) Finds loop free routes to the destination.
(iii) Flat structure as hierarchical schemes can lead to congestion localization.
(iv) Changes in network topology has local effect only.
(v) Periodically hello messages are sent in order to ensure that neighbors are still present, for detecting link failures.
(vi) Efficient Query Dissemination thus avoiding unnecessary route query threads by forwarding queries
outward instead of inward.
(vii) For securing the routing protocol, Elliptic Curve Cryptography has been employed.
Technologies Used: C++, Tcl/Tk, Network Simulator, OpenSSL.

2. Worked as a full-time employee with WhereGroup GmbH & Co. KG 

Role: Developer(Mentor: Christoph Baudson)
Duration: May 2010 -July 2010
Different projects completed during this period:
(i) Creation of plots taking data from Oracle Database using Gnuplot.
(ii) Creation of Debian package for Mapbender(GIS software).
(iii) Scale Calculation for Non-metric SRS as per OGC standards.
(iv) Creation of Jquery UI Models.

3. Enterprise Computing(under IBM India Remote Mentoring)

Role: Developer(Mentors: Ahijit Chatterjee and Joydeep Banerjee)

Duration: June 2010 - July 2010
To write a short COBOL code in mainframe using file / db2 as data store on mainframes.

4. SEO for Daulatguru.com

Role: Developer(Mentor:Sougata Basu)

Duration: May 2010 - June 2010
Worked with different cms and installed mods and hence tried to convert random URLs into seo friendly
URLs. Also tried to install other add-on features on that forum so as to make that more user-friendly.
Technologies Used: MySql, vbulletin, phpBB-SEO

5. Network Setup (under Nettech, kolkatta organized at IMT,Ghaziabad) 

Role: System/Network Administrator

Duration:May 2009 - June 2009
Setting up webserver, mail server, DNS server, NFS, Samba. All we had was 60 computers (10 web servers + 2 virtual routers + 48 clients)
Technologies Used: RHEL 4, Postfix Mail Server, Apache, BIND.

6.Online National Polling 

Role: Developer

Duration:November 2009 - December 2009
Worked on to implement National Polling online as a part of the contest TGMC 2010(organised by IBM)

Technologies Used: UML, Java, J2EE, XML, e-Forms, AJAX, Web 2.0

• Recieved “ TCS Best Project of the Year Award 2010-11” for my final year project “
Implementation of Secured Hybrid Routing Protocol”.

• Ranked overall 11th in national level hacking competition, InCTF 2010(organized by Amritapuri

University).

• Extensive Knowledge of Linux, Network Management, Apache, Subversion.
• Regular contestant at TopCoder (Rating ~1500), SPOJ, Project Euler (200+ problems).

• Selected for Regional Science Olympiad organized by Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF)
